Lady Dr. Cheryl Logan

Dr. Cheryl Logan is currently Director of Christian Education at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church in Dayton, Ohio, where her husband, Dist. Eld. Scott E. Logan is the Senior Pastor. Her vision is that women would see their worth and discover their God-given abilities and giftings to birth spiritual life to a barren world.

Her Story

As a young child, Lady Dr. Logan was introduced to Jesus Christ and mentored in the things of God by her maternal grandmother. When reflecting on the strong influence her grandmother had on her coming to know Christ, Dr. Logan, declares that her grandmother “whet her appetite” for Jesus. She made me salivate for Him.” Consequently, Dr. Logan was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at a young age and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. With God’s blessings and anointing, Lady
Logan has launched out into the Call of God on her life to teach the people of God. Dr. Logan teaches the New Converts class here at Christ Temple and serves as one of the teacher leaders for the Ohio District Council’s Leadership and Educational Department.

In addition to teaching the Word of God, Dr. Logan is passionate about education and believes that education is one tool God uses to position His people in Kingdom work. In 2006, God opened the door for Dr. Logan to begin a literacy project in Haiti through The Haitian Empowerment Project at The Ohio State University. Through this project, Dr. Logan organized, and taught workshops designed to improve instruction through theteaching of writing. Further, this project provided instruction to educators in creating children’s books in the native language (Haitian Creole) to improve students’ comprehension.

In 2010, Dr. Logan served as a Senior English Language Fellow at The University of Pretoria, South Africa for 10 months where she taught academic literacies to freshmen preservice teachers. Her major contribution to South Africa was the launch of a national
professional learning community designed to enhance teachers’ instruction of writing to students.
